Johnson Lifts with a comprehensive product range in elevators and escalators has had an exponential growth in the last 10 years. They have provided infrastructure to public service projects pan India and have done 12 Metro Projects, 27 Airports and over 800 + Elevators in Railway Stations.
Despite Multi-Nationals having entered the Indian market, Johnson Lifts continues to be No.1 in India and is manufacturing over 12000 units annually. “There has been a significant growth in the opportunities available owing to the major urban infrastructure development programs. Apart from their presence in 7 overseas countries, namingly Nepal, Srilanka, Tanzania, Qatar, Dubai, Bhutan and Myanmar, their coverage in India is through 54 branches with a 10,000 strong employee base. “In 2009, JLPL clocked a Sales Turnover of Rs. 419 crores with 5200 units and in 2019 we have crossed Rs. 2000 crores with 12000+ units being delivered, thereby ensuring over 22% market share.”said Mr. Albert Dhiraviyam.
Indian Metro, Railways and Airport
The Central Government schemes for major Urban Infra Structure Development programmes in India like Metro Rail Projects, UDAN – Regional Airport development and regional connectivity scheme, and the modernization of Airports, Railways Stations, Bus Terminals and Foot Over Bridges at important junctions has given rise to a great opportunity for heavy duty escalators and lifts used in Mass Transportation systems across the country.
“The Metro Rail and the Railways have awarded us the contracts worth Rs.673 crs. to manufacture and install 828 Escalators and 365 Lifts for stations in Mumbai, Kolkatta and Bangalore. For the upcoming inter terminal Airport project in Chennai, we are to install 50 escalators, 41 lifts and 12 moving walks” said Mr. P. Chaitanya – General Manager.
Andhra Pradesh – Vijayawada
With a strong presence in the Residential segment, Johnson Lifts has attained project domination in the sectors of Hospitals, Hotels, Educational institutions & commercial complexes in the region.The company is currently installing 77 lifts at AIIMS, Mangalagiri, 22 Lifts at NIT, T.P.Gudem, 4 LIFTS in IISER-Tirupati and 17 lifts & 7 escalators at various Railway stations besides the 37 lifts &15 escalators already installed. Growing with the varied market requirements, Johnson Lifts have launched two categories of lifts for this State namely a) Villa Lift and b) High Speed Lift
“With more and more luxury Villas coming up and longevity of life on the rise, the need for lifts in homes have drastically increased. These Villa lifts have special Cabin interiors, glass doors and are equipped to run on single phase to three floors at a speed of 0.20 MPS. With the foray into the Villa segment with a state-of-the-art product and specific design for superior car finishes suiting the taste of clientele, has given us a strong foothold in this emerging segment.”
Mr. Raja Babu further added “Having been the leader in the Elevator industry for buildings of less than 20 floors, Johnson Lifts have now launched their High Speed Lift for High Rise buildings above 20 floors. This Elevator with premium Car Cabin finishes has a gearless motor and travels at a speed of 2.50 MPS. High Speed for High Rise building will soon be introduced in Smart City –Vizag. Capital Region Development Authority of Andhra Pradesh has also proposed for such High Rise Building in the new Capital City of Amravati in Vijayawada.”
On the launch of Villa lifts, he further added, Having over 50 % of the market share in Andhra Pradesh, the company’s current turnover of 168 Crs.With the existing business and the entry into these two new growing segments, Johnson Lifts is expected to do a turnover of Rs 200 Crs by 2022.
With the company completing its 25 years of operation in Vijayawada, Johnson Lifts now has 3 Offices in and arround Vijayawda, Vizag & Tirupati.
